Advice on courses and careers to suit you

Get advice by email or over the phone

Thinking of changing career, but not sure what qualifications you'll need? Need advice on the best way of financing an adult learning course? Or could you do with a bit of advice and inspiration before going back to learning?

Whatever you need help with, you can get free, impartial advice from one of the Careers Advice Service's expert advisers. You can use Directgov’s online forms to send your question by email, or arrange for an adviser to call at a time that suits you – free of charge.

Get advice in person

nextstep offers face-to-face learning and careers advice to anyone aged 20 or over who doesn't yet have a Level 2 qualification. That's five GCSEs at grades A* to C, or an NVQ Level 2.
